Yuan Xia will return for a recital where he will perform Box Office by Martin Fondse and David Dramm together with Avenue Azure as well as works related to his research project ‘Zoom in/Zoom out’ featuring compositions by James Wood, Claude Debussy, Aart Strootman, and new work by QingQing Teng.

For more than a decade, TROMP Percussion has been building international connections through its Repertoire Days – a series of events that bring young percussionists, professors, and world-class artists together in masterclasses, lectures, and concerts. After twelve years of close collaboration with IPEA at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, TROMP is now expanding this initiative to multiple cities across Asia. For the first time in its history, the tour will also include South Korea.

Tromp Percussion Eindhoven will host a workshop with Alper Kekeç on Moroccan rhythms played on African drums, between 13.00 and 16.00, starting every half hour at the Bladi Festival.

The concert hall will be transformed into a vibrant souk featuring authentic handcrafts, live performances, and delicious food and drinks from Moroccan cuisine. From traditional clothing and music to comedy and harira, the first edition of Bladi Festival promises to be a celebration of rich Moroccan culture.

Whether your roots lie in Morocco or you’re simply curious about the culture, during this family festival you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped straight into Marrakesh!
