Awards 2010

During the TROMP International Percussion Competition 2010 the following prizes have been awarded:

First prize | Alexej Gerassimez (Germany)

- A sum of €15.000 of which €7.000 is reserved for further study, participation in competitions or the purchase of an instrument;
- Various concert engagements for a period of 4 years, including the TROMP tour;
- Professional CD recordings sponsored by Stichting Dioraphte.

Second prize | Mike Truesdell (USA)

- A sum of €10.000 of which €5.000 is reserverd for further study, participation in competitions or the purchase of an instrument;
- Various concert engagements for a period of 4 years, including the TROMP tour.

Third prize | Vassilena Serafimova (Bulgary)

- A sum of €7.000 of which €3.000 is reserverd for further study, participation in competitions or the purchase of an instrument;
- Various concert engagements for a period of 4 years.

MCN - Willem Vos Prize | Simone Rubino (Italy)

€1.500 for the best rendition of a composition by a Dutch composer, sponsored by MCN/Donemus. The winner received this award for his perfomance of Luois Andriessen's 'Woodpecker'. Simone will also be invited to perform at the upcoming edition of November Music, the most important festival in the Neterlands for comtemporary music.

Press prize | Alexej Gerassimez (Germany)

€2.000 for, as the pressjury judged, "One of the most expressive performances ever".

Friends of TROMP audience award | Alexej Gerassimez (Germany)

The audience voted almost unanimous for their own favourite during the final. The prize of €3.000 was sponsored by the Friends of TROMP.

'De Annelie' encouragement prize | Simone Rubino (Italy)
