‘One hand, one heart….’ One of the most charming songs of the musical of musicals: West Side Story. Katia and Marielle Labèque – not twins, but very close – had to give in to Bernstein’s lovely music at some point and played the delightful version for two pianos. ‘We breathe in unison’ the youngest sister, Marielle, once confided. With other evergreens like ‘I feel pretty’, ‘Tonight’ and ‘America’, this was an unforgettable evening.
