Son Lux drummer Ian Chang performed an audiovisual solo spectacle in which he triggered beats, samples, sound effects and even a light show with projection completely from his drum kit. As he started beta testing Sunhouse’s Sensory Percussion in which hardware and software respond to drumming in the smallest nuance, Ian Chang discovered a new creative voice that translated physical drumming into an ambient album and live show.

After moving to New York in 2007, Hong Kong-based Ian Chang quickly gained a reputation as a “gigantically talented drummer”. To date, Chang has recorded and/or performed with such varied artists as Son Lux, Landlady, Joan As Policewoman, Body Language, Matthew Dear, Dave Douglas, Rafiq Bhatia, Rubblebucket and Moses Sumney. Since 2014 Chang is touring with Son Lux with all over the world.
