24classics flips the script on chamber music with the 24chambers concert series. Curated intimate performances at a secret location featuring musicians who explore classical music’s expansive nature, breaking traditional perceptions.
Sanne Huijbregts and Gabriel Michaud will take the stage for this cozy concert. Sanne Huijbregts is an award winning vocalist, vibraphonist and composer. In addition to being an outstanding singer, she surrounds herself on stage with electronics, percussion instruments and the xylosynth (electric vibraphone) to complement her voice with a myriad of tones and textures. Her music is a genre defying dreamscape of loops, lyricism and intimate compositions.
Equally outstanding is percussionist and composer Gabriel Michaud. Michaud is known for his eclectic influences. He writes for chamber music groups as well as electronic music within the rap collective Codex Dissident. In 2021, Gabriel won several prizes in solo competitions (Germany, Switzerland, Spain), then chamber music in 2022 (Luxembourg with the Trio Fragments). That same year, Gabriel won the 1st prize, the public prize as well as the press prize of the renowned international competition of TROMP Percussion Eindhoven.
This concert is free of charge, but you need to sign up to request tickets and 24classics will let you know if there is availability. The location will be announced on the day of the concert.
