Thomas is a young, versatile drummer, who plays in various experimental jazz/improvisation groups. In addition, as a climate activist he takes action against deep sea mining, amongst others, with the grindcore band “The Polymetallic Nodules”. This summer he worked on his solo, using both electronics and acoustic possibilities of the drum kit.

Thomas Jaspers has a residency at Paviljoen Ongehoorde Muziek this year. He gets the chance to do several concerts at POM, to rehearse for longer periods and to do research on the technique and sound of his instrument.
